Sometimes you just have to cut loose and have some fun. This painting is part of the "Those Crazy Cats" collection. It was created while the artist was fighting cancer as an escape into the joy of life -- bright, colorful and carefree. The collection is all about whimsy and fun, about not taking things too seriously and stretching your thinking to imagine the impossible. The artist challenged himself to use only straight lines in this entire collection, which is much more difficult than one would imagine. Sure, it's odd, by why not?
After battling heart problems for over 10 years, in 2003 Michael's heart had finally worn out. It progressively slowed, then stopped, his breathing with it. Several minutes passed as those who loved him took in what they had just witnessed, and said their final prayers and goodbyes.
